Greenies Pill Pockets are a great option for giving a pill to a dog that’s food-oriented. If dogs enjoy Greenies dog treats in general, they will Greenies Pill Pockets will be a good option.

What are Greenies Pill Pockets?

Greenies Pill Pockets are dog treats in the shape of a round little pouch. To give a pill to a dog using a pill pocket, the dog’s vitamin, pill or capsule is placed inside the hollow.

Greenies Pill Pockets for Dogs are available in two sizes: small and large. They’re also available in two flavors: chicken and beef.

Tip: Small pet medications may fall out of the pill pocket while the dog is chewing. To keep the pill inside and affixed to the treat, place a dab of peanut butter or cream cheese inside the hollow, then stick the dog’s pill inside.

More Ways to Give a Pill to a Dog

It’s important to note that some dogs — dogs who tend to be picky eaters and don’t enjoy dog treats — won’t eat Greenies Pill Pockets. So these are not a good option for dogs who are selective eaters. For these dogs, it’s best to opt for another method like a pill shooter (also known as a pet pill gun)  or another alternative method to give a pill to a dog.
