Does your dog vomit in the car? Is your dog anxious or fearful of car rides?

If so, desensitization dog training can help an anxious dog who’s scared of car rides. A car sick dog usually faces two problems: the dog’s motion sickness causes nausea and vomiting in the car, and as a result of this negative experience, the dog gets anxious and fearful about car rides. In turn, the dog’s anxiety and fear makes him more likely to urinate or vomit in the car and the problem becomes self-perpetuating.

Some dogs’ fear of car rides stem not from car sickness, but from arriving at a frightening destination (like the veterinary clinic). So it’s important to avoid a situation where the owner only takes a dog on car rides when it’s time to go to the veterinary clinic or the groomer.

Vomiting yellow liquid (bile and stomach acids) is a common and often chronic dog health problem. Fortunately, in many cases, it’s a fairly easy problem to fix and there are a few simple home remedies for dog vomiting problems of this variety. But before treating dog vomiting, it’s important to identify the cause.

What Causes a Dog to Vomit Yellow Liquid? – Empty Stomach

There are two basic causes for vomiting yellow bile: over-production of bile and empty stomach irritation due to bile and stomach acids.

This type of dog vomiting is common in dogs who eat just once or twice per day. It takes approximately two hours for the food to leave the stomach. Once the stomach is empty, bile and stomach acid can accumulate and irritate the dog’s stomach lining. In severe cases, ulcers can even occur, resulting in a chronic stomach problems in the dog.

The dog’s upset stomach ultimately triggers vomiting. Since there is no food in the stomach, the dog vomits yellow bile and digestive fluids.

Causes of a Dog Vomiting Fluid – Over-Production of Stomach Acids and Bile

In other cases, a dog who vomits yellow fluid may have a problem with over-production of bile and stomach acids. This is most likely the problem in the event that the dog who eats frequently but still vomits liquid on a regular basis.

If your dog is vomiting yellow liquid, it’s important to visit the veterinary clinic so you can obtain a diagnosis. Other health problems could be present, so it’s important to get your dog examined by a veterinarian before attempting to treat the pet with a home remedy.
